What happens where concept art, shoes and fashion meet? Fashion p*rn clearly. That’s what super kook-dook progeny of psychoanalysis and art, Bella Freud, has been up to. She’s only cooked up some majorly goreous knitwear in collaboration with shoe king Christian Louboutin.
Bella Freud Fall 2011 collection is now featured in Louboutin’s concept pop-up boutique in London’s Selfridges. The collection is based on Christian’s iconic sketches but takes the exquisite shoe fetish to a new level – a modern ’80s take that no doubt got Bella originally hired back in the day by the queen of ’80s fetish fashion, Vivienne Westwood .
Now almost sold out online, the shoe emblazoned superfine merino wool knit dresses, sweaters and leotards have been incorporated into Selfridges Presents: The World of Louboutin.
It’s unclear how much of the orignal collection is available to buy instore but if you are a shoe, art or fashion collector these pieces are covetable investment pieces to say the least. The collection is priced £240 – £350 and upwards for custom leotards.
We will update if we get more information on availablity in-store at Selfridges London but in the meantime, eye the candy, visit the website and let the struggle between your bills and your desires commence.
