FASHION x CELEBRITY: BOHO REPRO – FIRST LADIES OF FABULOUS DO OLYMPICS

Ready for a heavy dose of lady fashion? Who won gold in the ‘First Lady of Fabulous’ style-off? Samantha Cameron joined Michelle Obama for an Olympics display at the American University in Washington DC yesterday. Yes Euro crisis, Olympic games, blah, blah…let’s get on to the clothes.

'I'm TOTALLY ball playin' today'

Both Shelly-O and SamCam went for a relaxed tailored look in bright colour. We couldn’t resist giving these looks the BOHO REPRO treatment.

Michelle went for her go-to girly knit and flats –  a l’Wren Scott chartreuse cardigan, high collared blouse, wide legged white trousers and metallic kitten heels. She is THE queen of working moms on the go and isn’t afraid of colour.

Way more ‘fashion’ was Samantha in a fuschia t-shirt blouse by Brit designer Roksanda Ilincic, colour blocked with black Joseph cigarette pants, a croc belt and navy LK Bennett pumps. Very simple, very chic.

Although SamCam gets the chi-chi vote, Shelly wins the ‘Fifty Shades of Fabulous‘ gold medal for working it. Embroidered cardigan, white pants and gold shoes with a tennis racket – we have a winner.

First Lady of Fabulous - game, set and match

Samantha wins the silver ‘Hello, my name is fabulous‘ medal.

We loves us some hot hues here on BOHOMOTH so we figured our fluttering moths might want to get these smart-casual looks for they-selves.

I want Michelle’s cardi! She always reminds me so much of J Crew and I miss that store like mad now we’re living in Germany. I know they ship here, but nothing beats being able to go into the store and have a good look at everything.

  2. Minky says:

It’s almost an odd question to ask, considering how amazingly good S.C. looks (the clean lines, the awesomely paired colour blocks, the belt, the SHOES) vs how truly appalling M.O. looks (unflattering blousy lines, stripes AND frills, all thrown together in a sloppy way) Just – no.
Btw Bohomoth I just found you and you are FAB.

I love MO’s style. With her stature and physique, she wears her clothes well. Both look very classy.
