CELEBRITY x FASHION: BOHO REPRO – CHARLIZE & K-STEW ON NBC TODAY SHOW
There were mouths a-gasp in BOHOMOTH international offices when new mom Charlize Theron hit the streets of NYC in an über chic look this week. [caption id="attachment_2742" align="aligncenter" width="348" caption="Talk about workin' it momma"][/caption] Gasps were joined by splayed hands to the chest (borrowed fashion-gay move) when we saw that Charlize had trotted over to Rockafeller Plaza to an interview alongside Snow White and the Huntsman co-star Kristen Stewart on the NBC Today show. Would you just look at these two? Both actresses have fierceness ejecting their bodies like fireworks. Charlize's classic black feminine Dior look is perfectly complimented by Kristen's edgy fashion forward androgynous get up. This is one of few occasions that we have seen Kristen look comfortable in her gear at a promotional event. [caption id="attachment_2743" align="aligncenter" width="440" caption="Fashion's princess and anti-hero join forces"][/caption] K-Stew generally wears a too-short skirt, awkward shoes she clearly hates and makes little effort with her hair and make-up. We do think that she is embracing fashion more after a couple of hits in Paris Fashion Week at Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton. So suffice to say we loved her Diesel shirt, Helmut Lang leather panel pants and Rebecca Minkoff jacket. On Today Kristen looked positively radiant (well as radiant as Kristen can so) - fresh-faced make-up (which didn't look like last night's touched up) and hair pulled up and back. There is evidence of the use of an actual beauty professional here. We are astounded. [caption id="attachment_2744" align="aligncenter" width="327" caption="Listen to a pro, Kristen. And sit up for Christ's sake."][/caption] Perhaps Kristen raised her game because she knew she'd be plonked next to a model and Oscar winner for a few weeks of press junkets. She needed to, Charlize is a statuesque vision - long, lean, yet oddly curvy. Her roster of heart-felt and edgy roles, combined with a successful commercial endorsement career makes her a good role model for Kristen. On to BOHO REPRO. We think these looks are the sum of totally accessible pieces that can be recreated afford-ably. We chose the same print in a shirt style we preferred by Diesel, but you can get the same one Kristen is wearing from ASOS or Diesel. Go forth and embrace your inner cool screen goddess or edgy fashion young blood.
