WOW. The Queen is looking fieeerce on arrvial for the Diamond Jubilee River Pagent. I’m handing a ‘Hello, my name is fabulous’ name tag (diamond encrusted of course) over to Elizabeth for her quilt effect, ruffle trimmed Angela Kelly designed white coat and assymetric brimmed hat.
I love that she went for black shoes and bag instead of her usual head-to-toe colour wash. I am dying with the human factor of The Queen’s bag hanging open. Watch out for bottles of medication, crumbled up tissues stuck to boiled sweets and a tortoise-shell comb falling overboard.
Kate did good.
I love this pleated £1,195 McQueen Fall 2011 with a dropped peplum waist detail. The rich red is perfection against Kate’s colouring and the hat is whimsical without looking stuffy or stupid. I might be wrong but I think she’s wearing a slingback. Fingers crossed they’re not LK Bennett. I actually like the nude shoe here, for once.
After getting what she calls ‘the usual’ wash and blow-dry from mane-man Richard Ward this morning, K-Middy’s outfit was topped off with a Sylvia Fletcher hat from James Lock & Co. and she wore a brooch with tiny two silver dolphins on it – a present from the Royal Navy Submarine Service, of which William is Commodore in Chief.
The scary thing is that Kim Kardashian wore this dress in trashy form. Eeek! The polar ends of class in fashion have crossed streams.
Thankfully Kate avoided the silver stripper heels.
