GRAMMYS 2013: MOST CRINGE-WORTHY MOMENT OF THE NIGHT GOES TO TAYLOR SWIFT

Whilst the GRAMMYs didn't have a problem with inviting and honouring a convicted woman beater this year, they did at least spare us the trifecta of annoyance by not inviting Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Nikki Minaj. But keeping their attention-hungry seats warm was Taylor Swift - who at 23-years-old was given the honour of opening the Grammys. And, what did she do to make the best use of this golden opportunity that she'll be able to tell her children about in years to come? She had a very public and very obvious go at her most recent ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, 18, who she dated for about two minutes. How. F-cking. Embarrassing. In the middle of her irritating hit - which she performed in front of many important and well-respected music industry people - 'We Are Never Getting Back Together' there's a talking part. Taylor says: "So he calls me up and he's like I still love you and I'm like, I'm just, I mean this is exhausting, you know. We are never getting back together, like ever." And, she deemed it appropriate to do that part last night with a British accent - having a clear dig at her teenage ex fling. She did the same thing at the NRJ Awards in Cannes last month and angrily glared in Harry's direction as he sat in the audience. His reaction? He didn't give a flying toss. If anything I'd say Harry and his bandmates are laughing at Taylor's petulance because he refused to marry her or whatever it was he did to get in the very lengthy Swift bad boy books and are now thanking her for the extra press. In between spit-roasting pretty student groupies that is. But for someone with so many teenage fans, Taylor's setting a terrible example. Instead of angrily focusing on paying back boys who have talked her into doing an°l and then dumped her rather than proposing as she had hoped in her break-up songs, why doesn't Taylor literally change her tune? She could send out strong, empowering messages that tell her impressionable young fans that your dreams can come true if you work hard and believe in yourself and that along the way you might have relationships with boys that don't last. But so long as you can walk away with your head high and your self-respect in tact and remember the good times like when he took you to the World of Beatrix Potter then it's all good and in the meantime you're happy and fulfilled and you don't need a man because you're happy and content enjoying what you do have. If Taylor thinks she's ever going to find that husband she so desperately wants by carrying on like a 3-year-old that's throwing its toys out of the pram in public because things didn't go her way she's very, very wrong. I can see her aged forty singing: 'Why haven't I had a date since I was twenty three? Men are so cruel why won't anyone marry me?'

I really have no idea whats going on with her, she has to know Harry’s gay….but then again she has the mentality of a 15 year old…someone needs to put the brakes on her public displays…

    • BOHOMOTH says:

Is he gay jojo? I swear he’s straight. He’s shagged so many women since he became famous. I know he could be doing the bi now, gay later thing and shagging girls to look straight, but I still get ‘straight’ from him. And yes, Taylor’s mum needs to sit that girl down and give her a good talking to. I had a kid at her age.

And she still can’t sing live…..when will the media ever address this atrocity/unfortunate reality……???!!!!

  3. Sassy says:

she , like anne hathaway needs to go away for a long while

I really liked Taylor when she first came out. I thought it was so great to see a young teen act like a teen and not try to be sexy. But as she has physically grown up she hasn’t emotionally caught up. I don’t think she see’s how she’s perceived. She just seems like a bitter pouty child who is still acting like a 16 year old girl.
