Jessica Simpson and her baby bump did their day's work for the year filming an advert yesterday after they spent time in her trailer with 'King Kong' rather rudely written on the door. The 31-year-old is basically the Victoria Beckham of America and has brokered a career as a not particularly good singer into being the face of her own and ridiculously-successful clothing brand - which I'm convinced she's shown filming a new ad for in these pictures. (If it was Weight Watchers she's be wearing UGGs as they'd shoot her from the neck up like last time). And, like Vicky B, all she has to do to promote her clothes is walk around wearing them and shoppers somehow get hypnotised into wanting and then buying them. In their droves. Some of you have asked when her second baby, Ace is due and I've worked it out as the end of March to mid-April. I wonder if she's going to go for a third baby straight away or if she's been pushing her new maternity line for long enough now and has decided it's time to have another crack at the weight-loss market with trainer Harvey Pasternak (and a plastic surgeon on the QT) ahead of the Christmas fitness DVD buying market? She was at her clothing empire's offices the other day, no doubt with her board of directors patiently trying to explain the plan to her - with hot water and towels on hand just in case her waters broke- while she snapped gum and gave them irrelevant answers and unsolicited details about her sex life. I would love to sit in on one of those 'work' meetings.

    the insanity is she’s dumb as a post, her father really pulled off an amazing magic trick getting her the first Jessica Simpson license …so I guess she shops and brings in “samples” sits down with the real design team and nods while eating and drinking (a working lunch meeting and then the “team” goes to work…(they are always being sued for stealing designs)
    and this is a billion dollar empire…all aimed at the car pool and station wagon set…over-weight middle America…they relate to her…

      Is that what it is? That they relate? I can’t think of anyone I know or have ever met who’d buy the stuff on her site. But yeah Papa Joe is a magician. It’s incredible to think they pulled this (worth millions) clothing empire off with someone who doesn’t brush their teeth at the helm!!!
