Madonna’s Secret Project Revolution: – Nice Idea, Hackneyed, Old, Done Before Subject

Madonna unveiled her secretprojectrevolution last night in multiple locations throughout the world - which is a short film she made with Steven Klein to launch, which is an initiative designed to encourage the entire human race to express their personal meaning of freedom through art, poetry and photography. - Take that, Lady Gaga. The 55-year-old herself was in New York and for some reason invited the man that tied her to a chair and beat her for hours to help her celebrate - Sean Penn. And a rather pinned-out looking Lindsay Lohan who you can bet will be telling everyone today that she's going to be starring in Sean's next project. As for the initiative itself, well, the film had lots of lovely sentiment - that Madge is starting a revolution of love and if only we'd all do away with labels and hold hands there'll be no more violence, just love, tra la la. Unfortunately, it's going to take a lot more than a 17-minute black and white film and a pop star to solve the world's problems. I was yawning and rolling my eyes by halfway through with a distinct feeling of deja-vu. It's a nice thought thought though Madonna, love, *Pats her on the head*. Hopefully she won't be trying that one in a hurry again as shortly after the screening, she was lead away by the cops for what I'm assuming was crimes against decent film-making... (again).   Watch the full #secretprojectrevolution film, download the special bundle from BitTorrent and get ready to share your #artforfreedom with the whole world! (ahem, or not). I forced myself to watch this to the end. Nicely shot, but derivative, dull and embarrassingly hackneyed. I’d have a lot more respect for this “revolution” if I could see evidence M is sharing her cash to make this happen. People struggling to keep their lives together, let alone those who are really being persecuted, don’t tend to have a lot of resources for making videos to upload on websites. And I didn’t think anyone was asking M to show her ass any more, they are asking her to put it away.

  2. Mildred Fierce says:

    Top marks for shaming Penn.

On a completely and entirely non- Penn related note, an actress who dated an A list actor ended up in hospital a while back due to his beating her while in a drunken, or was it simply an grotesque ego driven rage

  3. Eartha Katt says:

That second-to-last photo, taken from a slightly different angle, is hilarious. It’s like a “Blue Steel” how-to!

  4. Princess says:

She is looking bad, all puffy faced and weird….. and Lilo looks like she’s the same age as Madge, dear oh dear…

  5. Jameson says:

I had the same thoughts as you on this Jen.

  6. Flffgrrrlr says:

Yep – yawn. I’m so sick of her and Gaga’s artist-off. But I think maybe she’s trying to recapture where she was when she was with Sean. Maybe he really was the love of her live, appalling behaviour notwithstanding.
