Cameron Diaz has put her, er, floro yellow espadrille shoe in the bottom of the pressure on women in Hollywood to stay young-looking and the anti-aging industry.
The 41-year-old Annie star says she’s A
-Rod-Okay with how she looks and if you don’t like that then that’s your problem:
“I don’t want to look like I did when I was 25,” Ms. Di-az tells People magazine. “I like the way that I look now better than when I was 25. I can’t help that other people may be uncomfortable with that, but that’s not my responsibility to make them feel okay with the fact that I’m getting older. I’m okay with it. I like it.”
Cameron also starts waxing lyrical about the benefits of a healthy dairy-free diet – saying she’s only stopped having acne and white-head filled skin since she addressed her habit of living on greasy junk food:
“I used to have really bad skin and that was absolutely due to the food that I was ingesting,” Cameron adds, before extolling the virtues of ditching dairy.
“I lived on processed fast food. I drank a ton of soda and I ate greasy, fatty, cheesy foods consistently. I went around with really bad acne well into my early 20s. Even into my 30s, when I was still eating a lot of dairy. I’d get those little white bumps all over my skin – I stopped eating dairy and it completely changed my skin.”
Hmm, I don’t think Cam’s being entirely honest with us here. Her skin may have improved because she’s ditched dairy and embraced fruit and vegetables instead of Big Macs but it’s also down to her toning down the hard-partying phase she went through when she started pushing forty.
Her beauty advice could easily be, “Don’t get so hammered that you find yourself looking at P.Diddy in a club in New York at 3am and thinking, ‘Hmm. Now THISH ish who I should be boning tonight’, before dry-humping him on the nearest banquet”.
Oh and ditch all popcorn from your diet – just feed it to the nearest A-Rod if you’re not sure what to do with it.
