BOHOS 2014: Best Movie of The Year Award

Nominees: American Hustle Dallas Buyer's Club 12 Years A Slave Wolf of Wall Street Gravity Blue Jasmine Winner: Dallas Buyer's Club, honorary mention: Blue Jasmine EXCLUSIVE: Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto film scenes together for The Dallas Buyers Club in New Orleans. A toss up between 12 Years A Slave - which everyone should see and had Jen who hasn't admitted to crying in public for a decade in floods of tears - and Dallas Buyer's Club, which was equally as heartbreaking and well-acted but just that teeny bit more watchable and concisely told and directed with a clear story arc.   Dallas Buyer's Club is an instant classic which will be watched and enjoyed by movie fans the world over for many years to come. Ant0scar's pick: Blue Jasmine bluejasmine-1 Controversial list this – Blue Jasmine seems to be overlooked on most of the big award shortlists this year.  For that reason alone, I give the Best Film award to it.  Oh and the fact that Cate and the underrated Mr. Maggie Gyllenhaal (Peter Sarsgaard) acted their socks off in it.

so far i’ve seen American Hustle – slooow but ok. JLaw was spot on in her performance – all i remember from AmyAdams are her boobs.
12 Years a slave – powerful well done excellent performances *except BP not sure what accent he was using ….
Gravity – not feeling it for picture or actress – sorry Sandy
Blue Jasmine – interesting storyline – Cate – well its CATE enough said
Wolf of Wall Street – leos qualude od was pretty good , and jonah hill – i liked what he did with his character.

Best movie…..12 years a slave so far. Only Dallas Buyers Club to go.

just watched Dallas Buyers Club…….if matthew mcconaughey and Jared Leto don’t win the awards they are nominated for…….something is rotten in Denmark. AMAZEBALL performances by both. Matt was HAUNTING in his role……..it wasn’t just the extreme weight loss………it was EVERYTHING. This movie moved me like none of the others did.

    I agree Best picture….best actor….best supporting….all the way
