I wondered how long this would take.
When In Touch Weekly pointed out earlier this week that Tom Cruise hasn’t seen daughter Suri for 44 days, his lawyer Bert Fields was quick to pour a bucket of ice-cold water all over that rumour.
He told E! News: ’Tom has been in England shooting a film. He calls Suri every day, sometimes twice a day.
‘He loves Suri and is a constant presence in her life. As in the past, when he’s shooting in a foreign country, he has to rely on daily phone calls.’
I’d love to know how this goes down. I imagine that Katie sees her ‘phone spring into life at 6am New York time whilst she’s still in bed with the caller saved as ‘UGH’ ringing constantly.
Finally, she rolls over and answers it and an intense voice sternly orders: ‘Kate. I can’t talk to you because David tells me you’re a Suppressive Person – pass me over to Suri’. She dutifully obliges and Tom then grills his six-year-old on everything from what she’s been eating and watching on television to who she’s been keeping company with until finally he demands if ‘Kate’ has been enjoying ‘special hugs’ with any gentlemen callers.
Then he hangs up and repeats the next morning.
This too shall pass….
Kind of like the “toss-away” older ones. You don’t see pictures of their Dad playing with them in a pool at Disney world. I often wonder what the dealio was with Connor and Bella and their upbringing.
