Look at this fan-forkin-tastic picture that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tweeted of their Thanksgiving.
When I interviewed her a few years ago, I was asking her about dieting and staying in shape and she visibly sighed, before saying that the only exercise she can endure that she actually could say she loves is in the water, because it holds her up.
Another time I saw her interviewed on TV and someone asked her what her favourite food was and she replied that she never gets to eat any of it and burst into song and sang: ‘Because my trainer won’t let me’.
What I love about her even more is that she actually flies her trainer Patricia in from Saint Barts to New York when she’s on a weight-loss bender – she first met her at a five-star hotel she was staying at there once and now working out with her makes her feel in her head as if she’s still on vacation and she goes to that happy place even though her body is screaming ‘I hate this!’.
So it’s safe to say that yesterday, she would have eaten her face off, drank as much booze as she could fit in on top and been very, very merry with her hilarious hubby Nick and their adorable twins Moroccan and Monroe.
A lot of celebs would have had a few mung beans and a glass of hot water and lemon yesterday – Thanksgiving or not- because they’ll be more worried about fitting into their sample size dresses through party season.
Not Mariah. She’ll just have all the meat, cream, chocolate and red wine she desires and be damned- then triple Spanx later.
And for that, you have to adore her. People who don’t like food don’t like sex and people who don’t love either don’t even know they’re alive, the poor soul-less things.

I once heard the theory that a person’s attitude to food pretty much reflected their attitude to sex. No scientific basis, sure, but anecdotally 100% true……
