After a short break from showering and being strapped down by a beauty team, Kristen Stewart made a red carpet appearance at the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 4th Annual Governors Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA on Saturday.
And all smiles, she was.
Head-to-toe, she didn’t look half-bad with a decent make-up job, her signature rat’s nest and a mixed lace topped gown from German-based design duo, Talbot Runhof’s Spring 2012 collection.
I say she didn’t look half-bad, but specifically K-Stew looked like a quarter-bad. I hate that kick flare skirt. The top of the dress is detail enough, and a straight column skirt would have continued the line and effect of that lace-over-lace plunge.
So what inspired this unusual show of chirpy-ness?
I’m reluctant to say it in case it comes true, but *clutches nettle* perhaps she got a head full of Oscar nomination talk for On The Road. The noms won’t be announced until January 10th 2013 but independent film must-read, Indie Wire reckons that she has an outside chance at the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award.
We’re guaranteed some interesting award season red carpet awkwardness at the very least.
Clearly she deserves a Best Leading Actress for ‘it was only kissing in the car, and just that one time the pictures were taken – pinky swear’.
