Kristen Stewart’s been keeping a medium profile since the Twilight/Breaking Yawn press junket rolled to its final halt. Her main deal-io now is promoting the crap out of her ‘serious’ movie On The Road, ahead of the SAGs, Globes, and Oscar noms. She doesn’t have much of a hope, but you have to hand it to her for still trying to keep her hand in the game.
K-Stew was all smiles and loveliness at a special screening of the movie at the Sundance Cinema in Los Angeles on Thursday – also in attendance was mega-director and the movie’s executive producer, Francis Ford Coppola.
I’m not completely opposed to her look of a Jason Wu mixed texture sleeveless cowboy shirt, and matching knicker shorts with a killer pair of Barbara Bui ankle boots.
She wants something bad. Look at that mouth. Watch out Hollywood.
And watch they did as she hit a second promo in 24 hours – another screening of the movie at the Skywalker Ranch in San Francisco. In much more relaxed K-Stew-y style, she graced the event fresh-faced and slightly less polished than the previous night.
This look is Kristen Stewart by numbers – a BCBG Max Azria contrast tuxedo jacket, H&M leather trousers, her signature ratty A.L.C. tee and a pair of moody oxblood Louboutin pumps. The hair is pretty bad, but I do commend whoever is doing her make-up at the moment.
She definitely had a more positive outlook at these events – in pursuit of a job from Coppola or Lucasfilm perhaps. Snow White might be rumoured to be advancing sans Rupert Sanders, but she’s got little else on the roster at the mo’.
