Oh dear. Another bites the dust (or should I say strokes Stella McCartney’s ego).
The tiny instances of decent design in this boob-to-toe evening clown-pants look Jennifer Lawrence wore to the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Saturday were easily muted by the ridiculous neckline and unflattering hip spread.
I can’t even take in the hair and face as Jen’s hips and legs look so thick as a result of McWankey’s signature tailoring – the same tragedy that befell Diane Kruger last week.
As I said then, when Stella gets the gimmick out of her head in her ‘design process’ her tailoring is chic as hell, but she seems hell-bent on making Hollywood thick in the thighs and perpetuating the ‘gunt’ on the public-at-large.
It’s a fabulous colour story here but the subtle print’s not doing J-Law any favours.
I love to see pants on the red carpet, it’s just unfortunate the majority of these looks come from Stella’s PR with a huge cheque attached (and ca$hed by Rachel Zoe).
