Brad Pitt high-tailed it from hitting on Selena Gomez at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night in LA to CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Monday.
The 49-year-old Moneyball actor told the audience that he made a zombie film for his kids.
That old chestnut.
Introducing a trailer for World War Z at Caesars Palace he explained: “Listen, five years ago, I knew absolutely nothing about a zombie; today, I consider myself an expert.”
Wow. I never thought we’d hear him talk about his phial of blood-toting baby momma Angelina Jolie so honestly.
And, he’s considers himself an expert?- Well that’s a given, as Brad pretty much considers himself an expert about every subject he puts his addled mind to – whether it’s architecture or furniture design, Pitt’s planet-sized ego knows best.
Brad added: “This whole thing started because I just wanted to do a film that my boys could see before they turned 18 – one that they would like, anyways. And they love a zombie.”
‘Given the amount of dope he chuffs back, that’s just as well.
Surely his motivation was money and this was a business decision, plus I can’t think of anything more egotistical than forcing your kids to sit through a film with you in it.
Of course, Brad’s just trying to win over middle America with anecdotes he thinks are cute and relatable because he’s embarrassed that he went with the current fashion for vampires, zombies and all things undead and blamed it on the kids.
