Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Jen Meyer, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen and Baz Luhrmaan were all treated to a slap-up dinner by Warner Bros. at Italian restaurant Michelangelo’s in Vieux Antibes to thank them for a successful start to Cannes film festival last night.
The tiny restaurant was closed to the public for around thirty-five cast and crew who stayed there until 3am – racking up a EUR 15,000 bill on food and booze.
“The mood was celebratory,” a source tells Bohomoth. “There were lots of toasts and cheers and they drank bottles and bottles of red and white Italian wine. ”
House specialities served to the group included : pissaladière, foccacia aux truffes, antipasti, ravioli with truffles and oven roasted chicken.
The restaurant is a celebrity favourite with Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Rihanna all visiting in the past year and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt often driving up to Antibes for dinner there from Chateau Miraval when they’re in the south of France.
