Oh Rihanna, what did you do?
The 25-year-old singer recently had a Maori tattoo inked onto her hand with a chisel and mallet during her trip to New Zealand, but once she came down off whatever she was on when she got that done, she called on her New York-based tattoo artists Keith McCurdy and Cally Jo from Bang Bang Tattoo to fly in and do a cover up in the Dominican Republic on Sunday.
This is the wince-worthy (and permanent- it’s not, like, wash off sharpie or Henna) result:
It took them eleven hours in total, and whilst they claim it now looks “pretty” (they couldn’t really say, “er, we f-cked up”), she’d have been better off going for laser removal if she didn’t like it.
Personally I think the ‘before’ ink looks better than the after, but both are a prime example of why you should think before you ink.
Awful, just terrible.
The one she has now is just a mess and she’s got the whole rest of her life to regret it – the only option she has open to her now I suppose is investing in a Michael Jackson-style glove and making a “thing” of it.
